In the frame of facing the necessity of “green steel” wire products as required by the European CBAM, the annealing / galvanizing process is a serious CO2 emission step.

Fib developed an alternative to classical gas heated annealing /galvanizing line: the full electrical & acid free NEOGALVA annealing/galvanizing line.

Dedicated to producers that want a compact and acid free galvanizing line, the unit allows to operate wires up to a speed of 220 m/min (DV close to 400) while only electricity is used to operate the line.

Skipping the usage of hydrochloric acid and Flux, the emissions both in the factory or outside are minimized and the line may be installed into buildings with much less” heavy industrial” conditions.

A demonstrator at industrial speed (scale 1/1) is operating in FIB premises and will be able to visit simultaneously with the Exhibition Wire & tube 2026 (17/4 – 20/4- 21/4). This installation reflects FIB’s objective: not only to present a concept, but to demonstrate to wire producers a fully operational industrial solution.

The NEOGALVA DEMOLINE includes:

• High-speed payoff and take-up units ensuring accurate wire tension control
• An Ultrasonic desoaping system for efficient degreasing and perfect surface preparation
• A High-efficiency induction annealing furnace with excellent operator ergonomics
• A Controlled holding and cooling section with H₂ / N₂ protective atmosphere
• An Electrically heated zinc bath equipped with latest-generation ergonomic FIB thermoplungers (95% efficiency)

On top of the visit, the NEOGALVA demonstrator will allows to interested wire producers to test on request some of their products on a 1/1 full industrial speed
