FIB is seeking a Head of Accounting & Finance, responsible for managing a department consisting of an Accounting Assistant and a Shipping Coordinator.

Mission


To ensure the financial, accounting, and strategic management of the company and its subsidiaries, guaranteeing the reliability of financial data, optimizing financial flows, and supporting General Management in decision-making.


1. Financial and Accounting Management

  • Accounting Oversight — Manage all accounting and financial operations, ensuring reliable and compliant financial statements.
  • Payments and Invoicing — Manage payments for subsidiaries.
  • Reporting — Consolidate results and provide reporting to the Executive Committee.
  • Internal Controls — Implement procedures to secure financial processes and cash flows.
  • KPIs and Analysis — Define key performance indicators and verify the consistency of quarterly data.
  • Year-End Closings and Audits — Manage annual closings and support audits and financial reviews.

2. Budgeting and Project Management

  • Project Budgeting — Prepare, monitor, and analyze project costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Budgeting Methodology — Establish a reliable methodology for sales pricing and hourly rates.
  • Management Tools — Develop dashboards and performance indicators.
  • Financial Optimization — Minimize risks and maximize financial returns from the quotation stage onward.
  • Project Financing — Structure project financing solutions with banks and credit insurance providers.

3. Treasury and Financing

  • Cash Management — Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
  • Financial Instruments — Negotiate and utilize letters of credit, export financing, and foreign currency advances.
  • Bank Guarantees — Manage bonds, guarantees, and related financial conditions.
  • Procurement Support — Support financial negotiations with suppliers.

4. Taxation

  • Tax Optimization — Implement tax optimization tools and strategies (e.g., patent income schemes).
  • Intercompany Flows — Optimize financial flows between group entities.

5. Risk Management, Compliance, and Certifications

  • Financial and Foreign Exchange Risk Management — Analyze risks and implement hedging policies.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance — Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Letters of Credit — Review and amend letters of credit as necessary.
  • Sensitive Exports — Manage licenses and authorizations (dual-use products, due diligence requirements).
  • Statutory Reporting — Prepare mandatory reports required by regulatory authorities.

6. Team Management and Organization

  • Leadership — Manage the accounting team and oversee the shipping department from a financial perspective.
  • Invoicing and Collections — Monitor invoicing activities and ensure timely customer payments.
  • Process Documentation — Document and maintain financial processes and procedures.
  • Financial Data Management — Improve the collection, quality, and use of financial data through IT systems.

7. Strategic Support

  • Strategic Advisory — Advise General Management on financial decisions, investments, and business models.
  • Cross-Functional Responsibilities — Perform any additional duties necessary for the effective execution of the role.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Letters of Credit (MUST)
  • Knowledge of Bank Guarantees (MUST)
  • Excellent command of French and English
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards
  • Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and financial tools
  • Ability to manage multi-entity and international operations
