FIB is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance Department in an international, demanding, and well-structured environment.
The Accountant plays a central role in the company’s accounting, financial, and administrative management. He/she supports the Finance Department by ensuring the accuracy of financial information, supporting international operations, and contributing to the efficient running of the business.
Main Responsibilities
1. General Accounting & Daily Operations
- Posting and processing bank statements
- Recording sales transactions and monitoring related operations
- Processing outgoing invoices
- Recording financial transactions
- Managing accrued and deferred invoices (invoices to be issued and received)
- Preparing journal entries and miscellaneous accounting entries, including payroll and guarantee-related entries
- Cost accounting management: allocation of analytical dimensions by department
- Expense report management
- Corporate credit card reconciliations
2. Supplier & Customer Follow-Up
- Supplier management: reminders, payment processing, and payment preparation
- Customer follow-up: account statements and customer communications
- Export customer invoicing
- Analysis of Letters of Credit (MUST)
- Management of bank guarantees
- Monitoring equipment payment milestones
3. Reporting & Dashboards
- Monthly statistical reporting
- Structural statistics reporting
- Work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
- Bank guarantees tracking report
- Diversification reporting
- Business/project tracking reports
- Agent commission reporting
4. Taxation & Legal Obligations
- VAT returns and declarations
- Management of AWEX subsidy files
5. Financial Management & Treasury
- Cash flow planning
- Accounting management of foreign entities
- Management and allocation of approval workflows
6. Administration & Coordination
- Management of accounting department mailboxes
- Quarterly logistical support (backup function)
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Letters of Credit (MUST)
- Knowledge of Bank Guarantees (MUST)
- Excellent command of French and English
- Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards
- Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and financial tools
- Ability to manage multi-entity and international operations

Candidate Profile
